Guidance on restarting workplace pressure systems safely

The Health and Safety Executive reminds businesses, building occupiers and other duty holders reopening operations after the COVID-19 lockdown to review their water systems maintenance arrangements to prevent creating a public health hazard from waterborne bacteria such as legionella.

KN95 must not be used as PPE at work as their effectiveness cannot be assured.

HSE warn that a substantial number of face masks, claiming to be of a KN95 standard, provide an inadequate level of protection and are likely to be poor quality products accompanied by fake or fraudulent paperwork. These face masks may also be known as filtering facepiece respirators.
